Custom Orthotics
Improve Comfort and Movement
Custom orthotics promote proper alignment, reduce strain, and support smoother, more comfortable daily movement.

Support your foundation.
Improve alignment.
Move with confidence.
Custom orthotics are medical devices worn inside your shoes to support proper alignment, distribute pressure evenly, and correct faulty foot mechanics. Unlike over-the-counter inserts—which offer general cushioning but rarely address the root cause—custom orthotics are precisely crafted using a detailed assessment of your feet, walking pattern, and daily activities.
Beth Greenly, Canadian Certified Pedorthist (C. Ped (C)), takes a personalized, evidence-informed approach to every patient. She understands that foot pain affects more than just your feet—it impacts your mobility, energy, and ability to enjoy life. All custom orthotics are hand-crafted from materials specifically chosen to suit your needs, footwear, and lifestyle.

How Custom Orthotics Help
Precise, Personalized Support
Your orthotics are shaped from a detailed biomechanical assessment and gait analysis—not a generic template—giving you targeted support based on how your body actually moves.
Better Alignment, Less Pain
By guiding your feet into a healthier position, orthotics reduce strain on your ankles, knees, hips, and lower back—addressing discomfort at its source.
Improved Comfort & Endurance
With pressure distributed evenly across your foot, standing, walking, and staying active feel easier and less fatiguing.
Long-Term Function
Custom orthotics correct mechanics over time, supporting lasting comfort and reducing recurring pain. When paired with appropriate footwear, they become a powerful tool for sustained wellbeing.

She addresses common concerns like cost, discomfort, or the fear of "needing orthotics forever" with honesty and care. Patients rediscover the joy of activities they love—work, parenting, hobbies, travel—without being held back by discomfort.
Many are surprised by how impactful small changes can be. A shoe adjustment makes an immediate difference. Ongoing support feels collaborative, not transactional. Most empowering of all, patients gain a deeper understanding of their body and how to care for themselves with confidence.
Typical improvements include decreased pain, better support and comfort, improved endurance for walking or working, and renewed confidence in movement.

FAQs
Common questions our patients ask.
A doctor's referral is required by most insurance companies for reimbursement. If your doctor has already provided a letter, please bring it with you for your practitioner to review, as insurance companies do require very specific language and a diagnosis to be included. If you do not have a doctor's note, TIHC can fax one out for your doctor to sign.
At this time, we can direct bill for Veterans' Affairs members, Canadian Armed Forces members and Greenshield. TIHC will take a $150 deposit and collect the remaining fee when you pick up your orthotics.
Not necessarily—most people can wear their regular shoes with orthotics. However, the right footwear does make a significant difference in comfort and effectiveness. Beth will guide you through which features to look for based on the specific needs of your feet.
Many people notice improvement within a few weeks, but timelines vary depending on the condition, footwear, and activity levels.
While there may be a brief break-in period, Beth ensures every device is properly fitted and comfortable from the start. She also makes adjustments as needed to guarantee your complete satisfaction.
The turnaround time is two weeks. We also ensure you have a signed doctor's note at the time of pickup. If there is any delay, we will be sure to notify you.
